Reverse Engineering of Turbine Components
DTL employs the latest technology to ensure that the reverse engineering of blades, buckets, vanes, nozzles and stationary parts is achieved to the highest level possible. The intent of the reverse engineering is not to just recreate the part but to analyze the original design intent and reproduce the part maintaining the original part design meeting the criteria of FAA - PMA Part Manufacturer Approval - PMA.
Equipment utilized to capture the part design data includes:
- ATOS II White Light Scanner
- Zeiss CMM with VAST XT Scanning Head
- Starett 24” Optical Comparator with Quadra-Chek 200
- XOR2 – Reverse Engineering Software
- XOV – Verification Software
- Solid Works
